Reishi (Ganoderma Lucidum) is a brownish-red mushroom that grows to about 10-25 centimeters in size. In the Netherlands, this mushroom is known as lac mushroom. They grow primarily on the trunks of old trees such as oak and beech. Reishi has been used in China for over 2,000 years. Its reputation is so impressive, so it is called Lingzhi, which means "mushroom of immortality." In traditional Chinese medicine, Lingzhi is used for various purposes.
