The furtail mushroom is called Trametes versicolor or Coriolus versicolor in Latin. The mushroom resembles the fan-shaped tail of a turkey, hence the English name Turkey Tail. In the Netherlands, it's known as Elfenbankje (Elfbank) because of its different colored layers.
The Turkey Tail mushroom not only looks fantastic, but also has amazing properties. Centuries ago, Asians were already convinced of its healing properties.
